Harold Pikus is a board-certified neurosurgeon, trained at Dartmouth with subsequent fellowship training in complex cranial and cerebrovascular surgery at the University of Miami.  He handles a diverse spectrum of clinical neurosurgery.  Dr. Pikus has served in various positions with national neurosurgical organizations and is a fellow of the American Heart Association Stroke Council.  He has been the Chief of Neurosurgery at a large North Carolina Hospital and the Director of Radiosurgery for Baptist Health South Florida.  Dr. Pikus has worked with collegiate and professional athletic teams and facilities on concussion protocols, diagnosis and management.  On the business side, he is a board member, secretary and treasurer of his current clinical practice.  Dr. Pikus has been the medical director for a small startup health monitoring software company, developed his own handheld device software company and has served as scientific advisor for medical and pharmacological startup companies.   Additionally, Dr. Pikus has an interest in medicolegal issues and forensic neuroscience.  His educational background is in physics, in which he holds a Bachelor’s of Science from McGill University.  He attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
